About Us

The Village of Islington BIA was formed in 1986 with a mandate to beautify the streetscape. On Dundas Street from Riverbank Drive to Cabot Court, the old village covered little more than a two block area. In 2003 the BIA expanded west to Kipling.

The BIA is managed by a volunteer board. Current Directors are listed in the CONTACT section of this website.

The village is currently plannning streetscape improvements for the combined shopping areas. Priority design elements include entrance signs, heritage murals, extending the hanging baskets of flowers to Kipling and banners, such the one below, to visually link the two areas.
